Relax For the Fourth With Jazz in the Park

It’s HOT, Sunny, and Beautiful weather in the state of Alabama, but some people are still searching for activities to participate in this summer. The next upcoming holiday, Fourth of July, is approaching fast and BPositive Magazine has the perfect place for families, couples, and even individuals to enjoy their evening. On Monday July 4, 2011, the people of Birmingham are invited to join in on the fun at Caldwell Park for Jazz in the Park. The event takes place from 5PM-9PM and immediately following you can chill-out in the park and watch the Fox 6 Thunder on the Mountain Firework Show. Admission to Jazz in the Park is free, however there will be vendors on location with food and drinks to purchase.

Birmingham’s Jazz in the Park will consist of local jazz groups and musicians performing for your entertainment. This year’s entertainment will feature Neo Jazz Collective, Fred Spraggins, The Birmingham Sax Trio, and James Crumb Jr. If you always wanted to know what it feels like to be a real musician then its your lucky day; Neo Jazz Collective will be available to offer a few quick music lessons! Be sure to bring a little pocket cash with you because the artist will have cd’s available for sale throughout the event.

There are a few house rules you need to know if you plan on attending Birmingham’s Jazz in the Park.
  1. No alcoholic beverages will be sold or allowed in the park
  2. This is a SMOKE FREE event
  3. Photo’s are permited but video’s are not prohibited
  4. Grills will also not be allowed at this event
  5. You may bring umbrellas, picnic blankets, coolers, and chairs to enjoy your evening
