Thunder on the Mountain 2011

What are your plans for Monday July 4th? If you need some help deciding where to go you should know that as always, this fourth of July Birmingham’s traditional fireworks show will once again light up the skies to honor America’s birthday. Monday at 9 p.m. the show will begin and last approximately 20 minutes. This is free to the public and a great family event to attend. To ensure the best viewing experience, make sure you have a clear view of Vulcan! Top viewing locations include the Southside, Five Points South, downtown Homewood, UAB’s campus, and Mountain Brook. If you cannot locate these places some have chosen to watch the show from hilltops around the city that have minimum light. This event was organized by Vulcan Park and Museum.
