5 Signs You Need a New Boyfriend

Every relationship goes through periods of hot and cold. But how can you tell if you’re in a relationship rut or if it’s time to call it quits? Here are some tips to help you decide.

1. All You do is Fight

A little argument here and there is perfectly normal. Not everyone can agree all of the time. Indeed some relationships thrive on passionate back and forth. Fighting and then reconciling. But, if you find that you spend all your time screaming at each other, or every little thing sets off World War III it may be time to reconsider.

    2. Lack of Respect

Whether it’s your views on religion, politics, skittles or what your idea of a fun Saturday is; if he belittles or doesn’t respect your views it might be time to call it a day. This doesn’t mean you have to agree on everything, the point is he has to respect you as a person and your right to your own opinions.

      3. Cheaters Cheat

Ever hear the expression, “Once a cheater, always a cheater”? If he’s done it once, most likely he’ll do it again.  Maybe he’s had an internet fling, maybe he’s kept in touch with an ex, worse than that maybe he’s actually having an affair. That’s not to say every man will be a repeat offender, but definitely be on your guard.

        4. Any Abuse at All

Obviously if there’s violence of any type it’s time to go. Not all abuse is physical. There are verbal, emotional and sexual as well. A lot of this relates to number two. If your significant other respects you, then there is less chance for any abuse at all.

          5. You’re More Like Friends

It’s one thing to be comfortable in your relationship. It’s another to feel like you’ve entered the dreaded friend-zone. If what were once passionate kisses suddenly have all the romance of kissing your Great Aunt Ester, then perhaps your relationship is on its way out.

            Learn When to Let go

Little is worse than floundering in a doomed relationship. If it’s over, it’s over. Don’t drag it out. You’ll only add resentment and animosity to an already uncomfortable situation. Only you can know if it’s worth trying to save a failing relationship. But, if you see your relationship in the above numbers, it might be time to reconsider.
