Meet Melanie McCann

Melanie McCann is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She was born and raised in the Pratt City community of Birmingham, Alabama where she still resides today. “I have always cared deeply about my community and the city of Birmingham. I have so much faith in the city which is why I wanted to be a part of B. Positive.”- Melanie McCann. Her church, Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Pratt City (Pastor Dr. T.L. Lewis), plays a big role in the Pratt City community and the church is always thinking of new creative ways to get involved and give back to the community. As a Ramsay High School alumnus, she learned the importance of striving for excellence and decided to extend her education by attending UAB where she majored in Accounting. “Now that I have my degree, I feel as though I can go on to do other things. B. Positive Magazine is exciting and I think Birmingham is excited about it. I look forward to being with the magazine and the community for a long time.”-Melanie McCann
