Passionate About Fashion… For a Cause! Fashion Show to Benefit Victims of the April 2011 Tornadoes

On April 29, 2012, a beautiful Sunday evening, I had the opportunity to attend the 3rd annual fashion show hosted by Mahogany and Pink, a local fashion and image consulting firm founded by Aisha Watts. The Cirque du Soleil Dralion Experience!

For the second time in the show’s history, Cirque du Soleil made it’s way to Birmingham, Alabam for the premiere their production of Dralion. Cirque du Soleil Dralion blends Eastern & Western cultures combining the dragon for the East and the lion for the West. With three main cultures represented — Chinese, Indian, and African, Cirque du Soleil bridges the gap between humans (man) & nature.

The 3rd Annual Kick'N Chick'N Birmingham Wing Fest to Benefit Magic Moments

October 1, 2011 marked the 3rd Annual Kick’N Chick’N Birmingham Wing Fest, to benefit Birmingham’s Magic Moments. The Kick’N Chick’N Birmingham Wing Fest is a chicken wing cook-off between local Birmingham restaurants competing for the title of best wings in town, or what they deem as The Thighsman Trophy. Thousands of locals come out to taste the fabulous wings and celebrate the South’s favorite fall tradition, football.
